All 57 cm SNS Grills charcoal grills share the same build quality and the same built-in Slow 'N Sear® system for professional two-zone cooking — Black Edition and MasterKettle. The difference between them is the level of equipment (full cart with prep table, EasySpin™ 304 stainless steel grate, accessories), not cooking capability. For trips, camping, and small balconies — the compact 47 cm Travel Kettle at 8 kg.
Choose your charcoal grill: Black Edition, Master Kettle & Travel Kettle
The choice depends on three factors: how many people you cook for, where the grill will stand, and how seriously you plan to get into smoking. For 4-8 guests — a 57 cm grill (Black Edition or MasterKettle). For 2-3 people, a small balcony, or camping — the 47 cm Travel Kettle weighing 8 kg. All models come with the Slow 'N Sear® system for two-zone cooking, so the difference is size, cart, and convenience — not cooking capability. On any of the models you can sear steak at 530°C and smoke brisket at 110°C for 8 hours.
Charcoal grill vs gas grill: what is the difference?
A charcoal grill reaches higher temperatures (up to 530°C) that deliver a true Maillard crust on steak, and gives food an authentic smoky flavor that gas cannot replicate. A covered round charcoal grill also enables long Low & Slow smoking with precise temperature control — something that requires separate equipment on a gas grill. Gas is faster to light, but a modern charcoal grill with a chimney starter reaches cooking temperature in 15-20 minutes.
A kettle grill is a round charcoal BBQ grill with a domed lid that uses charcoal as a heat source. The round shape enables optimal airflow circulation and two-zone cooking. SNS Grills come with the Slow 'N Sear® system for complete temperature control — searing, smoking, and baking in a single grill.
